About the event

A superb opportunity for kids to make their own edible pallet garden and benefit from the support of Eco Food Creations.

Registration: Registration will be open for 24 hours from 7th June. Registration is limited to 20 places. Email events.fivetreesbowlish@gmail.com. Entries will be on a first come first served basis. Entries are open to people aged aged 10+

Preparation: 

Entrants will plan, draw and grow their own plants for their chosen pallet garden design at home. The emphasis is on edible food. But we all know that there are other plants which encourage heathy veg, so the competition is not limited to veg alone. The plants and any special effects will be brought to the site on the day of the Competition and arranged on the pallets.The pallets will be provided by Eco Food Creations and entrants may bring their own paint and paint their pallet if they desire. The design will fit a standard 1 x 1.2 M pallet. Pallet, liner, compost and top soil will be provided on the day. Designs may be posted on Ecod Food Creations' social media.

Competition Day:

Entrants will arrive at Eco Food Creations, on the site of Five Trees Bowlish, at 10am to deliver their plants and any other special effects which make up their garden. The time slot will be between They will be able to paint their pallet, add any free plants from the Eco Food Creations collection and then arrange their pallet ready for judging. The pallet will be displated all day along the side of the public footpath so that the public can come and look the wonderful entries. Press will be invited to photograph the entries. An eminent judge will be invited to choose a First, Second and Third prize which will consist of a collection of bee-friendly seeds. Judging will be at 2pm.

Entries are limited to 30 spaces to allow for COVID rules.

Refreshments:

Soft drinks and water will be provided and entrants and their families may bring their own picnic. 

Sustainability Policy:

We are a single use plastic free site. Strictly no plastic cutlery etc. All rubbish to be removed from site. We are a no traffic:low traffic site. Car sharing is encouraged.
