About the event

This is a great opportunity to plant an edible footpath for your own enjoyment as well as for future generations to come. In the days when sourcing locally and growing your own is high on the agenda, and with dwindling garden plots, Five Trees Bowlish is offering a solution. You will have the opportunity to transplant blackberries, plant a variety of edible plants and also bring your own plants, if you have something special in mind. This activity is aimed at all but would be especially advantageous to people living in flats and perhaps in nearby Hillmead. Five Trees Bowlish has a public footpath running across the middle of it and the owners want the public to enjoy it when using it to explore the wider countryside and other venues that can be reached from it, such as Windsor Hill Woods, Windsor Hill Tunnels, The Good Life Projects and the East Mendip Way. You will need to be wearing suitable gardening clothes and bring along a garden fork and spade if you have one. If not we will provide one. Also bring a packed lunch.

We will also make a nice bonfire and we have a marquee and picnic tables to take cover in just in case the weather is poor.
