Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka (あかね色に染まる坂, lit. The Hill Dyed Rose Madder) is a Japanese visual novel developed by Feng and first released for Windows as a DVD on July 27, 2007. A version without adult content was released under the title Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka: Parallel on July 31, 2008, by GN Software for the PlayStation 2. A port of this version of the game was released for the PlayStation Portable on December 17, 2009, under the title Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka Portable. The gameplay in Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka follows a branching plot line which offers pre-determined scenarios with courses of interaction, and focuses on the appeal of the six female main characters.

The game has two opening themes: one for the adult version and one for the all-ages version. The opening theme for the adult version is "Hatsukoi Parachute" (初恋パラシュート, lit. First Love Parachute) by Miyuki Hashimoto, while the opening theme for the all-ages version is "Setsunasa no Gradation" (切なさのグラデーション, lit. Gradation of Sadness) by Hashimoto and Rino. Both songs are composed by Junpei Fujita and arranged by Hitoshi Fujima.
The full version of "Hatsukoi Parachute" is included in Hashimoto's fourth album Brilliant Moment, which was released on August 29, 2007. The full version of "Setsunasa no Gradation" is included in Hashimoto and Rino's split album Colorful Gift, which was released on September 26, 2007.
Both opening themes have been adapted into anime versions, which are used in the anime adaptation of Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka that aired from October to December 2008. The anime opening theme is a remix of "Hatsukoi Parachute" by Hashimoto, while the anime ending theme is a remix of "Setsunasa no Gradation" by Hashimoto and Rino.
