Really Happy I Opened a Youth Account at BCU

When my daughter turned thirteen, I wanted to give her more financial responsibility and help her learn how to manage money early. I did some research and finally chose to open her first account with BCU Financial – Buduchnist Credit Union. I’d heard good things about them before, and after going through the process myself, I can honestly say it was the right decision.

From the start, everything felt welcoming and easy to understand. They offered a youth account that lets kids feel like real members, not just names on a statement. My daughter now has her own membership card and can access her account through mobile banking, which she was really excited about. What I appreciated most was that I could choose how involved I wanted to be – either as a co-signer or letting her manage the account on her own. It gave me the flexibility to introduce her to money management at the right pace.

Their service has been excellent, and they clearly care about helping young people develop the skills they need for the future. I think it’s great that a credit union like BCU doesn’t just focus on adults but invests in financial education for kids and teens too. If anyone’s considering giving their child a strong and practical start with money, I highly recommend you open youth bank account online through BCU. It’s been a really positive experience for both of us.
