In this rather fantastic video for Belgian star Stromae, a kid has a fake plastic dad and music and dance make things come alive but only for a short period.... The chorus, "Papa, où t'es?" means "Pa, where are you?" and we'd explain the rest of the lyrics to you if our French was better... The video is directed by Raf Reyntjens.

As an aside, I saw Stromae in concert this past month, and was astounded by the showmanship, and commitment to the multi-faceted nature of Papaoutai, as he dressed and behaved (mannequin-like) during the song on stage just as he had in the music video. His ability to shoulder social commentary into catchy, dance-tunes is, I believe, revolutionary. 041b061a72
